Yellow Pages Print Opt-Out

The Yellow Pages Group in Canada announced earlier this year that they would no longer print and delivery phone directories to most Canadian cites.  For some time the company has also maintained a deliver option system to help reduce unwanted deliver.  You can see the form here.

Yellow Pages in Canada are still delivered to all Canadian’s households though and Dave Eaves highlights the issue in Condos here.  David also does a good job of highlighting the issue with the opt-out process.  With the end of Phone Directories it doesn’t seem that Yellow Pages Print will be far behind.

I am so glad that September 09 I quit asking business owners to pay their hard earned $$ for an obsolute media. Finally the owners are paying attention to other types of media to communicate with their customers and prospects. Now it is time that the owners of the 7 main Y.P. companies in the U.S.A. heed my advice and go to other media such as T.V., Internet, Direct Mail, Newspapers, Electronic Billboards, Smart Phones and Radio!
